Bennett Is Six Months

Six months ago today we brought our newest little angel baby home from the hospital. He has grown and changed so much and we already have millions of wonderful memories with our sweet Bennett. What a joy he is to this family. Unplanned as he was, he is an indescribable blessing that we can't imagine not having. God really knows what He's doing!

Bennett is such a laid back, easy going baby. He usually only cries when he's hungry! He still takes 3 naps usually and is on a great routine. He still refuses to eat solids and is way more interested in anything going on around him (even if it's just making googly eyes at Mommy!) than nursing. He is very social and loves people, but no one as much as his big brother! He's started saying "Bababa" which is very cute, along with lots of squeals and vowel sounds that get progressively louder by the day! He gets sung to and read to every day, which is a personal goal since I did those things with Jack and don't want to slight the younger son. He picks up toys, plays with them, and passes them from hand to hand.

At his 6 month appointment yesterday he got a good report. He is 27 inches long (75th%) and weighs 16 lbs, 10 oz (a little under 50th%). His head circumference is still really low, under 5th% which is the lowest yet. They checked to make sure he is on track developmentally and he is actually quite ahead of the bell curve so they feel like he is doing just fine! We think he looks perfect just the way he is, he's just long and lean!

The most precious face in the world, he gets about a million kisses a day from Mommy and Daddy!

He has the longest eyelashes ever!

Okay, a really unique thing about our little Bennett is that he has heart-shaped nostrils! Check them out!

They are perfect little hearts, they've been that way since birth! We call him the Love Machine!

Another case of matching pajamas!

Unfortunately for Bennett, this is often Jack's version of giving his brother a kiss! Bennett is a very tough little guy (guess he has to be)!

My happy little man!

He is constantly trying to sit up when we lay him on his back. He's working out his core!

Jack loves to hold Bennett's hand, here they're watching Sesame Street together for a few minutes!

Sound asleep in Pops' arms!
