Easter Weekend Trip

For my birthday present, my wonderful husband took me to Lexington, KY the following weekend! It was such a great trip for our little family... I got to show my 3 boys my college home. Sunday was Easter so we headed back in time for Kevin to get to work and me to go to my Aunt Ginny's, but not before Jack's Easter Egg Hunt!

We left at naptime and the boys obliged us by sleeping the whole way there!

Did I mention Kevin got me a minivan a couple months ago? I love my Honda Odyssey!!! It's SO nice to be able to spread out so much!!!

Our beautiful room!

Jack enjoying the view

The Hyatt had an indoor pool which was a big hit!

Jack was a little nervous at first, but eventually he loved the water!

The first night, we got sushi for my birthday celebration. Then when we came home we put the boys to bed and got a bottle of wine. We didn't want to wake them up so we sat out in the hallway and drank it! We got some funny looks from people, but we didn't care! It's a fun memory.

The 2nd night, we went to Chuck E. Cheese's and it was a HUGE hit with Jack! It was his first time and he still prays at night, "Thank you for Chuck E. Cheese"!!!

Enjoying the show

Skee Ball

Bennett had fun watching Jack burn through his tokens!

Jack was so brave and rode ALL the rides, several times! This one went way up high and he wasn't scared at all!

I don't know who had more fun, Jack or Kevin!

Bennett was so good, as always!

Jack even got good at putting his own tokens in- Mr. Independent!

We took a quick tour of my beautiful campus. It had been 10 years since I had been there and it looked basically the same! We saw my sorority house, Kevin's fraternity house, my college, a house and an apartment I lived in. It was so fun to share some memories with Kevin.

Sunday morning we woke up and headed out after giving Jack his Easter basket! He got to enjoy the candy and coloring book the Easter Bunny left for him on his ride home.

Once we got home, we put rainboots on Jack and hid the eggs in the back yard for an Easter Egg Hunt... more candy!!!

Hope everyone had a very Happy Easter! We sure did!!!
